MANAGER

Ryan oversees the day-to-day running of the Trust, supporting the team and keeping things moving behind the scenes. With a background in teaching he brings practical experience in planning, organisation, and working with young people. His work includes managing funding applications, administration, and supporting the delivery of youth programmes. Ryan enjoys being part of a team focused on making a difference in the lives of local youth.

YOUTH WORKER

Nicholas brings a wealth of life experience to his role at the Whangamatā Youth Trust. Known for his deep relational skills, Nicholas is a natural mentor who connects with young people through genuine care, kōrero, and creativity. A skilled carver he weaves hands-on learning and identity-building into his youth work. Nicholas is currently studying towards the New Zealand Certificate in Youth Work, further strengthening his ability to walk alongside young people on their journey.

With over 20 years of experience working in community work, Simone is passionate about helping young people realise their full potential. She has a unique ability to see the best in every young person and draw it out with empathy, encouragement, and insight. Simone holds a New Zealand Certificate in Youth Work and brings a depth of knowledge, energy, and care to all her mahi. Her dedication to building up youth in Whangamatā is evident in every programme she leads.
